But really, how can I sleep better tonight?
No one likes tossing and turning and feeling exhausted all of the time. Well, some people might---we just haven't met them yet. This month, focus on sleep as a priority. Its impact on your health may be larger than you think.
What can I do to really get a good nights rest?
What can I do to really get a good nights rest?
- Make sleep a priority. Plan ahead so you can shoot for 7-8 hours a night.
- Be a kid again and have a bed time.
- Prepare your room. Remove distractions and create an environment where you can feel calm and relaxed.
- Take time to wind down. Use activities like reading or taking a bath rather than watching TV, which can be stimulating.
- Spend time in the sun!
- Exercise! Sleep quality improves and most fall asleep faster. (However, avoid exercising within 3 hours of your bedtime).
